1960s Maton EG-45A Sunburst

1960s Maton EG-45A Sunburst

A killer Maton hollowbody!

Alongside their stellar history as a manufacturer of acoustic instruments, Maton also manufactured some very cool electric instruments. This particular example is an EG-45A from the early '60s, featuring a great sounding set of early Maton single coil pickups. Manufactured in the single cutaway, jazz guitar-style, this particular example delivers in that field with a lovely rounded, low-output tone.

This particular example comes equipped with its original Bigsby, which appears to be a bit of a rarity on these models! Besides the volume and tone controls being non-original, and missing a pickguard, this example presents as all original.

Hardware is fully functional, and sounds excellent plugged in. Plays well with a low action. Includes a hard case.
