1975 Roland SH-1000 Analog Synthesizer
Released in 1973, the Roland SH-1000 was not only one of the first commercially available compact synthesisers, but also the first instrument produced by Roland. Initially designed to compliment and sit on top of a home organ, the SH-1000 found success as an incredible sounding monophonic, single oscillator synth. Famously used by groups such as Human League and Blondie, is simple in design yet incredibly expressive, with a beautifully warm and organic sound. Presets adorn the bottom right hand side of synth, allowing for a variety of sounds named after instruments such as the saxophone, tuba, or even a flute. This particular example was dated to July 1975. Super accessible and vibey entry point into the vintage Roland synthesizer market.
