1970s Greco Super Sounds Sunburst

1970s Greco Super Sounds Sunburst

A fun Greco with plenty of charm!

Greco were one of the preeminent manufacturers during the historic lawsuit period, known for their high quality copies of iconic Gibson and Fender silhouettes. This particular model is a 'Super Sounds' which functioned as their S-style model during this period. Typical for a Strat copy of the time, this example features a CBS-style headstock as well as maple fretboard and most importantly of all, three-way switching. This particular example has had an interesting modification done in which the original volume control now functions as a blend, allowing for the middle pickup to be blended in with either of the three positions. Where the second tone control would normally be is a master volume control. How funky! There has been a three-way toggle added, but it appears to do not a lot at this stage.

Cosmetic condition is okay for its age with the expected playwear of an instrument approaching 50 years old. It appears that some of the plastics may have been replaced at some stage based off the different shades of wear present. There is some noticeable divoting on the first four or so frets, however its still playing quite well despite this. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low-medium action. No gig bag, case, or tremolo arm included.
