1989 Samick LP Custom Black

1989 Samick LP Custom Black

A gorgeous example from one of the worlds most prolific instrument manufacturers, Samick!

One of the most iconic manufacturers to emerge out of Korea, Samick have not only made exceptional, entry-level models under their own name, but also for a multitude of brands. This particular example, based off its headstock logo and serial number appears to be from 1989. A sticker which reads 'SLP-60B' is present, however we've been unable to trace it back to any particular Samick model. Taking clear inspiration from the Les Paul Custom, this example boasts an open book headstock as well as a solid body, single-cutaway configuration with set neck. Other key signifiers such as block inlays and double binding are present. Under the hood, this example appears to retain its original electronics and pickups. Featuring a slim 'C' neck profile, this example is effortless to play and delivers great tone for its price point.

Cosmetic condition is good for its age with play wear present, especially focused on the back of the instrument where scuffing and hairline scratching can be seen. Gold-plated hardware shows tarnishing throughout. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a medium action. Includes a hardcase.
