2011 Gibson Custom Shop 'New Vintage' J-185 Sunburst

A great Jumbo from Gibson!

The J-185 was originally introduced way back in the 1950s, acting as a smaller body alternative to the SJ model of the time. Reissued in 1990, these have been in production ever since. Manufactured in Bozeman, Montana, this example features maple back and sides in tandem with a spruce top, mahogany neck, and rosewood fretboard. With a 16" lower bout width, these feel a little more comfortable in hand compared to Super Jumbos, without compromising on the tonal characteristics too much. This particular example appears to date to 2011, and includes its checklist and warranty information papers.

Cosmetic condition is overall good with some rub wear to the bass side lower bout, as well as general minor play wear throughout. There is an indent by the soundhole. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low-medium action. Includes the original case and information papers, no COA.
