c1964 Supro S635 Lexington

c1964 Supro S635 Lexington

The Lexington range consisted of three different models, ranging from a one-pickup to a three-pickup model. This particular example is the two pickup model, No. S635.
Double-line Klusons date this guitar approximately around late 1964 to 1965.

This particular example has an eye-catching tortoiseshell pickguard, of which modern examples of tortoiseshell often times fail to emulate.

Sound-wise, both pickups sound great and are super articulate and punchy.

Switches are currently disabled and have been painted black, which leaves two volume controls that independently control each pickup, allowing for a range of blended tones.

Currently playing with a low-medium action.

A very cool and funky looking entry into mid-1960s vintage guitars!
