1970s Greco EG-650N Natural

A fascinating example from Grecos early '70s catalogue!

A rarer example in contrast to the myriad of other LP designs from Greco, the EG-650N features a pancake mahogany body with belly cut, in combination with a very hard to find (for this period) set mahogany neck. A maple fretboard with black block inlays makes this quite a unique example, both in terms of its visual design and its construction. The EG-650N appears to first show in the 1974 Greco catalogue, with this example showing period-correct Maxon pickups dating to 1973. These examples aren't specified in the catalogue to have pickup covers, so either these have been potentially added or a similar set from this period swapped in. The remaining hardware and electronics appear original to this example. A cool example from an interesting transition period for Greco!

Cosmetic condition is fair for its age, showing consistent play wear throughout. The back of the body possess a myriad of dings and gouges, which can also be located on the sides of the instrument. There are a few small dings on the back of the neck. The emblem is missing off the back of the d-string tuner. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low action. Includes an aftermarket gig bag.
